1 An "independent courier" called me from an unknown number to tell me Im being served papers, and to call this number 530-317-4516 with a file # she gave me to reference so I could find out who is serving me. I called the number and someone named Mike from a "third party mediation" service answered, said my name, DOB, and last 4 of my SS, then went on to say I owe money to a bank for overdraft fees from ten years ago, and if I pay instead of going to court I will only be on the hook for $800. If I go to court and lose I will have to pay 3x that amount. I hung up and blocked the number, then they called my mother saying the same thing.
